From theathletic.com: Dwayne Haskins had one of his best games this season with 32/45 passes being completed for a total of 314 yards.

HONOLULU, Hawaii- The Oklahoma City Dinos clinched out their first win of the season on the road against the previously undefeated Honolulu Volcanoes, with a close score of 137.86 – 133.98.

The Dinos’ Victory was fueled by quarter back Dwayne Haskins who had a total of 314 pass yards and one rushing TD to contribute to his massive 38.86 point game. Alongside Haskins was quarter back Jared Goff, whose 200 passing yards and one passing TD combined to give Goff a total score of 32.70 for the week.

The game against Honolulu was very close, there was repeated back and forth throughout thanks to Honolulu’s quarter back, Dak Prescott. With 502 passing yards and four passing TD’s Prescott pulled in 63.28 points for the Volcanoes, over half their team’s overall score. The next player closest to Prescott was Honolulu running back Ronald Jones who only put up 19.80 points with 111 rushing yards and 19 receiving yards.

After the game, Assistant head coach Mark Roberti summarized the team’s excitement and talked about carrying that momentum into the upcoming weeks.

“We definitely put up a good fight and the weeks of roster tweaks and adjustments are finally paying off. We know that we are the underdogs in the league, but the fact that we can beat a high caliber team like the Volcanoes means that we can still swing with the best of them. It’s no time to take it easy as we move back home next week to face the Beavers.”

This win brings the Dinos’ record to 1-3.

Next week the Dinos come back home to face the Portland Beavers (2-2) at Devon Energy Stadium.

The Dinos are a recently established team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Their home games are played in Devon Energy Stadium and they play in the SCOM Fantasy Football League. For more information email okcdinos@dino.com
