PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Beavers lost to the Oklahoma City Buffalos during the Week 4 matchup.
The Beavers were led by quarterback Josh Allen who threw for 288 pass yards and two touchdowns. Allen added a rushing touchdown and came out with zero interceptions or fumbles. Newly acquired running back Rex Burkhead rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns and caught seven passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. The three-touchdown performance racked up 34.8 points.
The Buffalos had few bright spots on its team during the matchup. One of the bright spots is quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He accumulated 51.58 points through 327 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. The Buffalos saw wide receiver Allen Robinson who accumulated 24.1 points and running back Chris Carson who scored 24.01 points.
After the game, head coach Kelly Giammarino voiced her thoughts about the Beavers performance.
“Unfortunately we didn’t get the win this week and previous injuries really cost us. We will be working hard over the next days to hopefully pull out a win in our upcoming games. We are also working closely with our injured players to get them back in the game as soon as possible.”
Next week the Portland Beavers will travel to Oklahoma to face the Dinos. The Beavers are working hard to pull out a win.
