Despite another loss for the Salt Lake City Otters, the performance of RB James Robinson gives hope for the weeks to come.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT. – After facing a blowout loss to the Albuquerque Fighting Turkeys in week 2 due to a plethora of injuries, the same issue persist as many players were not available for this week’s match-up as well.

In the week 3 match-up verse the Harrisonburg Valley Bees, the Salt Lake City Otters were without the help of; TE George Kittle, WR Jamison Crowder, TE Jack Doyle, WR AJ Brown, and WR Breshad Perriman. Not to mention, the otters were also without the star power of RB Saquon Barkely because of releasing him after he was placed on IR due to a season-ending injury.

Injuries were not the sole factor in this loss, as both quarterbacks for the Otters performed very poorly after producing less points than were projected to produce in week 3. QB Daniel Jones posted 9.06 fantasy points after throwing for 0 passing touchdowns, 1 interception, and losing a fumble. He was project to produce 17.10 fantasy points in the week 3 match-up. Furthermore, QB Mitchell trubisky only posted 15.62 fantasy points after throwing for 1 passing touchdown as well as an interception. He was projected to produce 18.81 fantasy points and was also benched in the second half of this week’s match-up.

Despite the loss in week 3, the performance of rookie RB James Robinson provides hope for the otters in the upcoming match-ups. This was his second week in a row posting 20 plus fantasy points, producing 30.90 fantasy points on 2 rushing touchdowns as well as more than 100 combined yards of rushing and receiving. With that being said, its hard not to mention the performance of QB Tom Brady of the Harrisonburg Valley Bees, who was the leading fantasy scorer in the entire matchup. Brady posted 34.88 fantasy points on 3 passing touchdowns and a total of 297 passing yards. All in all, the result of this week’s match-up can be attributed to a poor performance and injuries provided by the Otters, as well as decent performances across the board for the Harrisonburg Valley Bees. The final score for the week 3 match up is 142.90 to 122.38, in Harrisonburg Valley’s favor.

After receiving a back to back loss in week 3, head coach for the otters Gabbi Leggett portrays her disappointment in the post-game press conference stating,” It’s really frustrating that the reason for our poor performance in the last two weeks has really been out of our control. Injuries have been effecting many of the players on this roster and I really believe we have the talent to win games. It’s back to the drawing board for week 4 and hopefully we can come out with a win next week.”
