HONOLULU, HI — Quarterback Dak Prescott brought his 48.48 points to the table to help eke another win for the Volcanoes against the Oklahoma City Buffalo, defeating them 165.66-162.02.
The Volcanoes narrowly managed a 3.64 lead at the Aloha. It was too close for comfort. Running back Austin Ekeler shrugged off a would-be tackle to secure a touchdown, providing the team 31.30 points with his 59 rushing yards. The team also received 24.70 points from wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins with his 137 yards.
Buffalo’s quarterback Aaron Rodgers led his team with 34.52 points and three touchdowns but to no avail. Wide receiver Allen Robinson tallied 29.30 points with 123 recovery yards. Garnering 17.80 points, Running back Ezekiel Elliot did not rack up enough points to push his team further up the ranks, only managing 58 total yards on 20 touches. Oklahoma City dropped to eighth place as a result.
Honolulu has remained undefeated and will maintain its spot in second place. Their season is still on to a strong start. Coach Eric Picucci stayed impressed with his teams’ third win.
“I’m really proud of my players,” Coach Eric Picucci said. “It was a very close week, but they have all been bringing themselves to the table. Here’s to another.”
The Honolulu Volcanoes will play Oklahoma City Dinos (0-3, 241.76) next week. They hope to secure another win.
