The Generals Take a Tumble Week Three Against the Bandits

From bleacherreport.com: Matthew Stafford assisted The San Antonio Generals, throwing 270 and two touchdowns. 

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Generals lost their second straight game, 183.08 – 112.70, to the undefeated San Jose Bandits. 

The Generals star performers this week were both quarterbacks, Matthew Stafford who threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns and Teddy Bridgewater, who registered one touchdown and 235 passing yards. Wide receiver, Amari Cooper, had another solid game grabbing nine receptions for 86 yards. 

The Bandits were able to put up impressive numbers this week with the help from QB Russell Wilson who racked up 52.80 points. Wilson continued to dominate, scoring over 50 points for the third straight week as he threw for five touchdowns and 315 yards in the air. Dalvin Cook rushed for more than 10 yards seven times on Sunday having a total of 181 yards on the ground and one TD for 25.9 points.

In a post-game press conference, Generals head coach Cullen Kircher stated, “We tried our best and unfortunately the Bandits stayed victorious. We are looking forward to growing from this experience and pulling our team back together from here on out.” 

Next week the Generals hope to pull out a win against their hometown rival The San Antonio Chaps. Kick off begins at 1 p.m.  on Sunday EST.
