FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN ANTONIO – After a tough fight, San Antonio Defenders suffered a devastating loss in week 9 to the Lincoln Logs, 172.06 to148.38. Lincoln Logs (9-0) hang on to their first place standing as the Defenders (6-3) remain in strong ranking, still holding second place in the SCOM Fantasy Classic League.
However, it wasn’t all bad news as the Defenders did start two of the league’s top-10 overall quarterbacks this week.
Quarterback Kyler Murray (36.04 points) played an outstanding game, completing 17 of 24 passes for 241 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also rushed five times for 34 yards and threw a two-point conversion pass, proving himself to be a huge asset to the team.
Additionally, quarterback Deshaun Watson once again finishes as a top scorer with 35.74 points. Watson completed 22 of 28 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns. He added 37 rushing yards on seven carries in the game.
The Defenders made a big mistake by not starting Mike Evans in place of either Allen Robinson or Juju Smith-Schuster. Either of those point differentials would have significantly altered the outcome of the game.
General Manager Kendall Trautz responds, “We are reevaluating our starting lineup and looking to make some changes to the roster in the coming weeks.”
As they rethink their starters, the San Antonio Defenders prepare to take on the Salt Lake City Serpents in week 10.
