San Antonio Defenders Pick Up Victory over Long Beach Ligers

SAN ANTONIO – Powered by a signature performance from Allen Robinson, San Antonio Defenders beat the Long Beach Ligers 155.88 to 131.18. This leaves the Defenders in good ranking as they hold the second place standing for the Scom Fantasy Classic League. 

The Chicago wide receiver threw up 24.70 points in a 24.70-point win, single handling leading the Defenders to a mid-season victory. Deshaun Watson also making huge impacts for the defenders as he has lead them in scoring for three consecutive weeks now. Against the Ligers Watson three for 308 passing yards, 32 rushing yards, and 1 touchdown totalling 28.52 points for the Defenders. 

In addition, Austin Ekeler had an impressive game as well. He rushed for 7 yards, 118 receiving yards, and 1 touchdown for the Defenders. This placed himself and Waston as the top scoring players for the Defenders this week. 

“I want to keep performing and leading our team to victory” stated Watson after Monday nights game.

The Defenders are feeling optimistic about the rest of the season as one of their strongest players, Sesquan Barkely, was seen practicing with the team. It is still unclear whether he will be playing next week, but the odds are looking good.

The Defenders have now beaten their projected score five weeks in a row for the League.  

General Manager Kendall Trautz spoke about this topic. 

“We are excited about our second place ranking. The team has been working really hard to prepare for each game and take this season week by week. I think it has shown in our scoring record for the last five weeks. We have to keep working hard and playing better,” said Trautz.

The Defenders remain in second place as the Long Beach Ligers dropped to ninth after this week’s loss.
