Aaron Rodgers carries Logs to 7th Straight Win

LINCOLN, Neb. – Aaron Rodgers had a career day Sunday, as the Lincoln Logs defeated the Austin City Limits 166.48 to 139.86.  Rodgers went off for 429 passing yards, 5 passing touchdowns, and 1 rushing touchdown, resulting in 67.76 points, the highest point total of the year.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson had an underwhelming passing day, but his legs made up for it.  Jackson only completed 9 of his 20 pass attempts for 143 yards, but he rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown, scoring 20.32 points, his lowest point total of the year.

When asked about the decision to go for it on 4th down where Jackson rushed for a touchdown, he said he was “charged up” and “tired of driving the ball downfield and not scoring and not succeeding.”

The Logs were actually losing throughout the entire game on Sunday and it looked the team was going to suffer its first loss of the season.  Then Julian Edelman and the defense propelled the team to victory.  Edelman had 7 catches for 47 yards and had 3 rushes for 20 yards.  The defense scored 25 points, its 4th week with 20 or more points.

The Logs had multiple players underperform this week, scoring under double digit points.  Philip Lindsay only had 36 rushing yards, scoring 4.20 points and Larry Fitzgerald only had one catch for 12 yards, resulting in 2.2 points.

When asked about the victory, Logs GM Nathan Khaligh said, “a win is a win, but as a team, we can’t be satisfied with our performance.”  The Logs move to 7-0 on the year and remain in first place, while the Austin City Limits are now 3-4 and remain in 5th place.
