LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Jokers fell to the San Antonio Defenders by a final score of 131-100. This extends the Jokers’ losing streak to three games. The Jokers can’t seem to find their groove as we enter week seven of the regular season. The game featured a star-studded quarterback match-up, in which the Defenders’ Deshaun Watson prevailed with a whopping 47 points compared to Jokers’ Mahomes with 21 points. Jokers’ starting running back David Johnson was one of the only bright spots of the game, tallying a season-high 28 points, including both a receiving and rushing touchdown. Quarterback Marcus Mariota made his debut for the Jokers this week and struggled in his first game in the new system. The Oregon product was benched shortly after recording 63 yards and two interceptions.
After their rocky 1-5 start to the season, the Jokers look to get their season back on track. Veteran starters David Johnson and Michael Thomas remain top tier players in the league and are source for hope in the Jokers’ locker room.
The Las Vegas Jokers are a member of the National Football Association (NFA). They seek to create a profitable, winning culture as well as enhance the Las Vegas community around them.
