SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Defenders came out on top with a hard-fought win against the Las Vegas Jokers, 131.80-97.54. San Antonio’s record is now 3-3 while Las Vegas falls to 1-4.
Kyle Murray, the quarterback, led the team this week with 46.8 points, and an astonishing 340 passing yards. Deshaun Watson, San Antonio’s other quarterback also made a huge impact this week with 47.40 points, an impressive 280 passing yards, and 42 rushing yards.
Injured Saquon Barkley, has been out due to a high ankle injury since Sept. 22.
“I’ll be back soon…” Barkley tweeted in regards to his injury.
Barkley was a strong team player and was seen practicing this Monday. However, it is still unclear whether he will play next week.
Juju Smith-Schuster, wide receiver, is still struggling to mend with his quarterback. Smith-Shuester caught one of 4 passes this week for a total of 7 yards.
General Manager Kendall Trautz spoke about this season.
“We are confident in our 3rd place ranking and are aware that we have more work to put in. We are just getting started,” said Trautz.
