LIGERS FALL SHORT IN WEEK 4
LONG BEACH, Calif.– Long Beach Ligers fell short at the Outback Sunday night, 126.10-107.42 against the Omaha Steaks. Giving The Steaks their first win of the season. Despite leaving the game due to injury, Ligers wide receiver Devante Adams, led the team in points with a total of 29.
Adams 29 points is a huge improvement from his 9.6 point performance last week against the Salt Lake City Serpents. He received a total of 180 yards, before leaving the game in the fourth quarter. due to turf toe. Adams did not practice Monday night, and his status in next week’s game against the Austin City Limits is unclear.
“We are making sure Devante is getting the best possible care he needs, right now his health is our priority” stated Ligers GM Brent Richman. More information regarding Adams injury can be found here.
Ligers quarterback Dak Prescott, could not keep up with the Steaks defense, passing for only 223 yards and throwing one interception.
“Dak, has been producing an average of three touchdowns per game, I can handle one off day” stated coach Sarah Salzman.
This loss puts the Ligers in 9th place in the SCOM Fantasy Classic. They look to improve their record against the Austin City Limits next week at McConaughey Stadium.
