Austin City Limits Look to Learn from Opening Game

September 12, 2019 – The Austin City Limits battled the Harrisonburg Valley Bees at home this weekend. The City Limits lost to the Valley Bees 144.24-177.76 after kicker Adam Vinateri scored negative points and their 2nd quarterback Jared Goff scored 15.
On Sunday, the City Limits played host to the Valley Bees and opened the game with a strong lead early on. TX had the lead through most of the contest until late Sunday night when quarterback Ben Rothlesiburger completed a 20 yard pass and swung the lead to the Valley Bees. Despite the best efforts from TX running backs Mark Ingram and Dalvin Cook (23 & 27 points respectively) they could not come out on top.
This score only worsened for the City Limits when running back Josh Jacobs scored 24 points on Monday night to seal the deal for Harrisonburg. When asked about the loss, TX receiver Julio Jones said, “We need to go out there and make more plays”. Austin will look to do just that next week as they prepare for a matchup against the 1-0 Orlando Orcas.
