BROOKLYN, NY – Brooklyn Drivers quarterback and founder of the AO1 Foundation Carson Wentz announced yesterday that he’s willing to help the team’s Drive Forward Campaign. The first step towards the goal is going to be his second annual softball game for his foundation, which the proceeds will go to both the AO1 and Drive Forward.
The AO1 Foundation is a non-profit focused on helping underprivileged youth, the physically disabled, and veterans. Some of the activities that the foundation hosts are activities for the underprivileged youth, hunting, and outdoor activities for the physically disabled and veterans, and also support for service dog training. The second annual softball game will be played on May 31, 2019, in Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
“This is a great opportunity to be a part of a movement that co-exists my foundation,” Wentz said. “The Drivers are a great organization to partner with especially with the Drive Forward movement.”
The Drivers are ecstatic to have Wentz onboard to help with their campaign. As Kristina Shuey and Zach Benson pitched the idea to Wentz about helping out with the Campaign and they were glad he jumped right away to help the team out.
“We are glad to have a strong leader on our team like Wentz,” Benson said. “He is the perfect role model for what we want to do with the Drive Forward campaign moving forward, as his foundation has got results over the last couple of years.”
The first official movement promoted by the Drive Forward Campaign after the Softball Game will be the Food Drive before the 2019 season starts.
