Honolulu, HI – To improve communication between the community and the team about violent crimes in Honolulu, Hawaii, the Honolulu Hammerheads will initiate “Hammerhead Values”. An initiative taking place during the preseason and regular season of the upcoming NFL season.
The Honolulu Hammerheads will show a new video with a new player every corresponding home game focusing on the crime stats around Honolulu, but also fostering a community between the local citizens of Honolulu and the fans alike. It will promote unity as a community in the hopes of getting a united effort to help combat the violent crimes around Honolulu. Through the use of players in each video promoting a unity around Honolulu, the community should feel a connection that promotes the values of a positive and safe community and the surrounding area of Honolulu.
“We genuinely think that being a new and thriving franchise in Honolulu, we hold a responsibility to promote a positive and healthy community around Honolulu.” said quarterback Jared Goff, “Everyone in this community has to come together to really stop these crimes from taking ahold, it’s not just something that one person can solve and we realize this.”
“Helping this community is the least that we can do for having them welcome us with open arms. We hope to turn this around and make sure the community realizes that they are not alone in fighting violent crimes around Honolulu.” said franchise owner Shemar Preston. Although ticket prices will remain the same, each video will be played before kick-off, during halftime, and at the end of each home game that the Honolulu Hammerheads play.
