Brooklyn Drivers Help Drive Brooklyn Forward With New Campaign

BROOKLYN, NY—In recent press conference, The Brooklyn Drivers announced that they will start the “Drive Forward” campaign at the start of the 2019 NFL season. This campaign seeks to address the economic difficulties that Brooklyn has been facing, focusing on the families and locally-owned businesses within the area.

“The first step to solving a problem, is making everyone aware that there is one.” Driver’s owner Zach Benson said. With the huge divides between prosperity and poverty, issues like paying rent and paying for groceries totally flies under other people’s radars. The “Drive Forward” campaign seeks to hold pop-ups around the Brooklyn area, wealthy and struggling areas alike, in order to spread information about the poverty situation and provide helpful community resources to those who need it. The “Drive Forward” campaign seeks to take away the negative stigmas surrounding poverty and getting help for it, while also lifting-up the local businesses around the Brooklyn area.

In a recent interview, Frank Gore reminisces on how “…it was the local businesses that gave the community hope and opportunities. By investing in businesses that the community themselves are invested in, the local culture and economy can finally shine.” Gore’s own hometown experienced a similar difficulty with poverty, except the smaller local businesses eventually got bought-out by chains and the vibrant community disappeared along with it.

In preparation for the “Drive Forward” campaign, more news conferences and informational panels will be hosted by the Brooklyn Drivers. For more information regarding the “Drive-Forward” campaign, be sure to check www.drivers.com.
