Orlando Octopi Raise Donations for Local Hurricane Victims
ORLANDO, Fla.– The Orlando Octopi will be collecting donations for the victims of Hurricane Woo. Between Sept. 1, 2019, through Dec 1, 2019. There will be bins at the local business and surrounding The Ocean Stadium where one can drop off donations. These donations will go directly to the Orlando victims of the Hurricane Woo.
The Orlando Octopi are encouraging people to help support the local community ravished by the hurricane. Hurricane Woo caused 200 million dollars’ worth of damage in and around the Orlando area. Owner of the Orlando Octopi Paige Corry stated “Hurricane Woo was detrimental to Orlando. However, this is a time that we have to come together to help our community.”
Deshaun Watson quarterback to the Orlando Octopi holds this particular issue in personal regard stating “I speak for the team when I say we are all dedicated to helping to families in this community that has lost so much.” AJ Green Orlando’s wide receiver spoke out saying “as a team, we are working closely with the community outreach team of the Orlando Octopi in order to make sure we are collecting donations and giving back to the community as much as possible.” AJ Green grew up in an area that was recently damaged due to hurricane Florence and is dedicated to this cause.
With every donation given the Orlando Octopi will be repaying these citizens with a gift of a sticker that reads #OctopiforOrlando. This gift is a repayment of the gratitude the Octopi have for those willing to donate. The Octopi are enthusiastic about the #OctopiforOrlando donations and hope that they can provide the smallest amount of relief to these families in such a difficult time.
