Archers Shoot to Tackle Poverty

ST. LOUIS  – The St. Louis Archers are set to launch their philanthropic campaign Tackle Poverty, Make a Difference on October 25, 2019. The Archers aim to better the St. Louis community by focusing on the issue of poverty that has been plaguing the city for decades. Through of range of tactics, the Archers hope to achieve their goals through fundraising and partnerships with local businesses.

“We as an organization love our fans and our city. We want to do all we can to give back to our community to make St. Louis a positive and safe environment for all its inhabitants.”, says Maggie Brennan, Head Coach of the Archers.

The poverty rate in St. Louis surpasses that of the United States. With a median household income of $40,346 the poverty rate in the city of St. Louis is 23.8%. This is drastically lower than the US household income of $61,372 and a national poverty rate of 12.7%.

The Archers are teaming up with local businesses in order to raise funds for this campaign. Not only will this help the Archers launch the campaign, but will also enhance the St. Louis community as a whole. Bringing these businesses together in relation with the Archers will bring forth a new sense of community in St. Louis while also working toward the betterment of the city as a whole.

The St. Louis Archers are a new professional football team based in St. Louis, Missouri. Though they may not have had the strongest record this season, the Archers are continuing work hard to improve both on and off the field.
