WEEK 8 RECAP

The Honolulu Humahumanukanukaappuaa now hold a record of three wins and five losses after taking down the league’s best team. Honolulu upset the Omaha Goldenrod 132.82 to 122.96 in Week 8 knocking the Goldenrod out of the league’s top spot. Honolulu trailed for the majority of the game before being lead to a furious comeback by running back Todd Gurley and quarterback Josh Rosen. Gurley was yet again the teams largest point getter with 34.5 points, and remains a force to be reckoned with at running back. Rosen shocked the Goldenrod and the league with his 25.25 points, which was more than 100 percent above his projected point total for the week.

The Goldenrod were led by stellar performances by quarterback Andrew Luck, running back Chris Carson, and wide receiver Devante Adams. Each player scored far higher than their projections – scoring 36.36, 21.4, and 19.3 points, respectively. However, the rest of the Goldenrod’s lineup struggled, only managing to score 26.3 points collectively between five players.

This week, Honolulu Humahumanukanukaapuaa takes on the Brooklyn Drivers (3-5), while the Omaha Goldenrod faces the Portland Predators (4-4).

WEEK 8 MATCHUP PREVIEW

Honolulu vs. Brooklyn

The Humahumanukanukaapuaa (3-5) take on the Brooklyn Drivers (3-5) in a Week 9 matchup as Honolulu look to build upon last week’s upset victory.

Quarterback Struggles

Quarterbacks Jameis Winston has lost is the starting job once again to Ryan Fitzpatrick, while Josh Rosen is out due to a bye week. Honolulu will start Nathan Peterman seemingly out of desperation in Week 9.

Gurley’s Gaudy Numbers

Running back Todd Gurley will look to stay on his incredible pace, as he has a takes on a stout Saints defense in a possible playoff matchup preview.

Howard’s Woes

Running back Jordan Howard has had his struggles this season. Howard has failed to score more than fifteen points in four of the Bear’s seven games this season. Can he turn it around against the Buffalo Bills in Week 9, and build upon his solid numbers from last week.

A Tale of Two Receiving Cores

The Drivers have a stacked wide receiving core including Antonio Brown, Tyreek Hill, and Demaryius Thomas. Honolulu on the other hand will struggle at wide receiver since standout, T.Y. Hilton, is out due to a bye week.

Honolulu Will Dominate at Running Back

Honolulu’s running backs Todd Gurley and Jordan Howard are projected to outscore Brooklyn’s running backs by 21.85 fantasy points this week.

Tight End Could Decide

The tight end position could decide this week’s game between Honolulu and Brooklyn. Honolulu’s tight end Antonio Gates is only projected to score 4.82 points, while Brooklyn’s George Kittle is projected to score 13.69 points.

Curse of the Bye
