The Austin Rockets (5-2-0) took home the gold against the Memphis Suns (2-5-0) last week winning 143.10 to 129.56. With 29.70 points, RB James White tallied the fourth-highest score for the RB this week. Austin Rockets was the first team in the game to put scores on the board. The Rockets went into this game last Sunday with an 18.84 to 0.00 lead. QB Matt Ryan has now led the Austin Rockets in scoring in back-to-back weeks, resulting in three of the last four previous games. Match-up Preview
- This upcoming week 8 the Austin Rockets 5-2-0, take on the Orlando Octopi 3-4-0 at the Ocean Stadium. Even though the Austin Rockets are up two games versus the Octopi’s, this is projected to be a close game between QB’s Matt Ryan versus Deshaun Watson.
- While Andy Dalton led Orlando Octopi during week 6 with 27.16 points, Watson is projected to be the team’s top point scorer in four of the last six matches.
- With 29.70 points (40 Rsh, 57 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TD), White tallied up the fourth-highest score for a RB this week, projecting to do as well in Week 8.
- With 379 passing yards and a TD, Ryan has thrown over 350 yards and a touchdown in each of his last two games.
- There will also be a strong matchup between both teams’ QB’s, Ryan (44.26) and Watson (46.96).
- This game already looks like it might be a little iffy to predict because both teams WRs have played around same athletically, Green (19.70), and the Austin Rocket’s WR Michael Thomas (19.90).
Austin Rockets Season Notes
- One of the strongest players on the Austin Rockets, QB Matt Ryan, because he got hurt. Because of this, Ryan has a bye week.
- BN, Austin Ekeler also has a bye week.
- Case Keenum will be the QB playing in Week 8’s game against the Orlando Octopi’s.
- The Austin Rockets have recognized three college students, QB Michael Jay from University of Alabama, WR Ryan Scooter from University of Pittsburgh, and RB Tyree Jackson from University of South Carolina, all hometowns from Austin, Texas. The head coaches of the Austin Rockets have decided to invited these three players to one of their practices and to look at each player as a possible candidate to join the Austin Rockets for next fall. https://www.kxan.com/
- Professor Robert Jones from Austin, TX, has made donations to the Austin’s local animal shelter, Austin Pets Alive!, due to the lack of adoptions. He has donated money for the animals who do not have homes and are needed of regular pet supplies. Jones has been in contact with the Austin Rockets and are trying to have them sponsor this local shelter to allow these animals find special homes. https://cbsaustin.com/news/local
