Game Recap

After starting the season 0-4, the Boulder Black Bears added their second straight win of the season, defeating the Portland Predators, making them 2-4 on the season. RB James Conner, who has been crucial to the success of the Black Bear’s all season, had another enormous game collecting 29.90 points. Conner ran for 111 yards with two touchdowns, and also caught a few passes for 18 yards. The next leading scorer for the Black Bears was WR Robert Woods with 20.10 points. A big week from Woods was necessary for the Black Bear’s as their two quarterbacks combined for only 24 points. On the other side of the matchup, QB Sam Darnold kept the Predators in contention with a huge week. Darnold threw for 280 yards and 2 touchdowns, accumulating 36.00 points. Without Darnold’s 36 points, it would have been a blowout. Only two other players from the Predators reached 10+ points. RB Ezekiol Elliot’s 106 yards and a touchdown was good enough for 19.70 points while TE Zach Ertz caught 7 passes for 43 yards and a touchdown for 17.30 points. The Predators dropped the game this week as they failed to get consistent play throughout their lineup.
