Game Recaps
The St. Louis Archers (0-5) had their fifth straight loss this season against the Portland Predators (4-1), falling 107.68 to 143.64. QB Aaron Rodgers passed for a season-high 442 yards, completing 32 passes on 52 attempts with three TDs, gaining the Archers 40.68 points. The Predators were led by QB Drew Brees with 363 passing yards and 3 TDs. Brees passed for 363 yards and added 54.72 points to the final tally. The Archers Defense held strong, with 6 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, a touchdown and only allowing 17 points, beating their projected 6 points. Both teams left points off the scoreboard as Portland Predators had one starter turn in zero points while the St Louis Archers had three. The Predators remain in fifth place, while the Archers are fighting to get up and out from the bottom.

Match Up Preview:
•The Archers are expected to fall this Sunday to the Oklahoma City Lightning 78.63-120.36.
• Archers QB Aaron Rodgers is projected with 20.78 points, narrowly beaten out by Oklahoma City Lightening’s QB Patrick Mahomes 20.94 projected points.
• Players the Archers need to be on the lookout for next week include Saquan Barkley with 21.76 projected points and Brandin Cooks with 13.98 projected points.
• Defensive teams will be neck in neck next week, with the Archers expecting 6.5 points and the Lightening expecting 6.13
• The Lightening’s Offensive Line has strong projections, putting the pressure on the St. Louis Archers.
St. Louis Archers Season Notes
• RB Giovani Bernard is suffering from a sprained MCL and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks and did not participate in practice
• WR DeVante Parker is recovering from a quad injury that occurred during practice has limited participation in practice and it is questionable on his eligibility to play in Week 6
• TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins underwent surgery Tuesday to address the core muscle injury that resulted in his placement on the injured reserve for at least the next eight weeks
• Following the loss, this weekend QB Aaron Rodgers stated that his knee is “a little more sore today than the last couple of weeks”.
• Police are searching for suspects in South St. Louis homicide and seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects in the homicide of 36-year-old Jacob Hudson. The investigation is ongoing.

• A suspect was arrested after a woman was found stabbed in the chest Wednesday morning. Police said the incident was a domestic one, with the victim being 29 and the suspect, aged 32, arrested at the scene.

• Missouri flooding expected to crest in St. Louis next week. The Army Corps of Engineers has activated its Emergency OperationsCenter for flooding coming to the area over the next week. The flooding expected downtown at the Arch appear to show moderate flooding forecasted and a crest on October 15 at 34.9 feet. The Archers encourage everyone to stay safe.
