10/8/18: The stadium will be selling tickets at reduced prices for fans to come watch the game and participate in Family Day at Suns Studio Stadium. The day will consist of fun and food for fans, access to the field and the ability to watch the Suns take on the Austin Atmosphere on the jumbotron. Tickets can be bought at www.sunstudiostadium.com.

10/10/18: Memphis will be welcoming country star Luke Bryan to Sun Studio Stadium Wednesday October 10, 2018. The doors open at 8:00 pm. Purchase your tickets through Ticketmaster, use promo code COUNTRY to receive 10% off your ticket.

10/15/18: Pink Out at Suns Studio Stadium. As a way to connect with the community and bring awareness to breast cancer the team will be giving out free breast cancer T-shirts to the fans, and half of the proceeds will be donated to National Breast Cancer Foundation.

10/15/18: Chick-Fil-A day at Sun Studio Stadium. Chick-Fil-A cow bobble heads will be given out and if the Suns win fans can take their ticket to their local Chick-Fil-A that are participating the following Thursday after the game for a free chicken sandwich.

 

Matchup Recap versus Oklahoma City Lighting (10/1/18);

A late surge left the Suns in defeat and the Lighting on top. The suns were leading the game the whole time until a last minute push by the hands of rookie quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes threw for over 300 yards and one passing and rushing touchdown. The suns missed the play of starting quarterback Cam Newton who was out this past week on a bye. Back-up quarterback Taysom Hill struggled on field only producing 5.40 points.

Although the Suns were unable to pull out the win this week there were some bright spots in the performance. Running back Tarik Cohen had a break out game rushing for over 100 yards and a touchdown contributing 32.80 points to the team. Wide Receiver DeAdnre Hopkins was the usual spark plug of the team with 169 receiving yards and a touchdown, Hopkins contributed a team high 33.90 points.

This loss marks number three on the season bringing the Memphis Suns record to 1-3 on the season.

 

Matchup Preview versus Austin Atmosphere (10/8/18):

The Suns are looking to turn things around this week against the Austin Atmosphere who hold a season record of 3-1. Although the Suns are projected to lose 113.79 – 78.53 to the Atmosphere. The Suns should be hopeful this week that things can turnaround with the return of starting quarterback Cam Newton and running back Christian McCaffrey. Not having these two explosive players last showed when the Suns lost late. However, with the return of both players should increase the projected score for the team. The Atmosphere’s quarterback Kirk Cosuins is coming off a hot week throwing for over 400 yards and three touchdowns supplying his team with 55.68 points.

The suns lost a break out player this week to a bye. Running back Tarik Cohen had a break out game last week rushing for over 100 yards and a touchdown. On the flipside of Cohen leaving the starting lineup this week, running back Christian McCaffrey will be replacing him in the lineup. The Suns expect the same production out of McCaffrey as they got out of Cohen.

The Atmosphere are looking at a fresh squad this week. They have six of their players projected to reach double digits in points. However quarterback Ryan Tannehill is coming off a rough week. Throwing for an interception and a fumble lost. After a rough outing will the quarterback be able to bounce back mentally to produce for the Atmosphere or is this the break the Suns were looking for.
