Game Recaps

Honolulu Humahumanukanukaapuaa (2-2) earned its first win streak of the season, holding off the St. Louis Archers’ (0-4) late push and winning 87.04 – 83.62. The Humahumanukanukaapuaa have now won two matchups in a row avenge the season-opening two losses that seemed to have Honolulu’s season in doubt. Running back Todd Gurley and wide receiver T.Y. Hilton continued to be the horses of the scoring for the Humahumanukanukaapuaa, putting up a combined 42.1 points. The Gurley-Hilton combination was just enough to overcome quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick’s pitiful showing. Coming into the matchup, Fitzpatrick was the No. 1 quarterback in the league, however, he only scored 2.04 points and was yanked at halftime due to his performance.

Quarterback Josh Rosen, in his first start with Honolulu, threw a fourth-quarter touchdown to put the Humahumanukanukaapuaa on top for good. The Archers had their chance, with the Steelers D/ST and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders still left to play, but the two combined for just 15.30 points.

Up next, Honolulu plays the Boulder Black Bears (0-4) next week to look to keep the win streak alive. The Archers take on the Portland Predators (3-1) to try again for their first win.

Match-up Preview

  • Quarterback Josh Rosen looks ahead to his second career start; as the Arizona Cardinals take on the San Francisco 49ers.
  • Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams looks to put up massive numbers against a Raiders defense that is the 4th worst against fantasy Wide Receivers.
  • Baker Mayfield’s (QB – Boulder Black Bears) second game as a starter
  • Sammy Watkin’s (WR – Boulder Black Bears) is coming back after a hamstring injury and a scoreless game is questionable
  • The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense takes on the high-flying Kansas City offense in a Week 5 matchup between AFC contenders. (JAX 3-1) (KC 4-0)
  • T.Y. Hilton (WR – IND) is a late scratch, and will miss the Colts’ Thursday night game against the Patriots.
  • Star running back Todd Gurley will have a tough matchup against the Seattle defense who gives up just the 22nd most points to fantasy Running Backs.
  • Pierre Garcon (WR – SF) has a tough matchup against a Cardinals defense that gives up the third fewest points to fantasy Wide Receiver.
  • Jaguars’ wide receiver Dede Westbrook looks to build upon his last two weeks in which he’s had 12 receptions for 161 yards.
  • Honolulu is 0-2 at home, and 2-0 on the road this season. With the upcoming matchup against Boulder being at home, the Humahumanukanukaapuaa will look to brush aside their island woes and pick up a win in front of their home crowd.
