Game Recaps

In the third week of the season, Honolulu Humahumanukanukaapuaa earned its first victory of the season against the Orlando Octopi 119.32 – 104.38. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick led the team with 37.14 points, notching over 400 passing yards in the matchup. Running back Todd Gurley also had a big contribution in the win, adding 24.60 points. Last week Gurley had some cramping, but he seemed to be fine this week, having over 100 rushing yards.

It wasn’t smooth sailing through the weekend for the Humahumanukanukaapuaa. Honolulu trailed by over 20 points going into the Monday Night Football game, having the season fall entirely in the hands of Fitzpatrick. If he underperformed and sent the team to 0-3, making the playoffs would be extremely far-fetched. What kept the Octopi in the matchup that long was strong quarterback play of their own. Quarterbacks Andy Dalton and Deshaun Watson combined for 61.08 points — over half the points of the entire squad.

Honolulu will look to build off of the back-to-back high scoring weeks when it takes on a St. Louis Archers team that finds itself in 15th place of a 16-team league.

Match-up Preview

  • [*Quarterback Controversy Alert*] The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have yet to name a Week 4 starter. It will be hard to keep Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB) off of the field with the production he’s had so far this year.
  • Quarterback Josh Rosen to make his first start this week against the Seattle Seahawks.
  • How will the loss of his starting QB (Jimmy Garoppolo) due to a torn ACL, effect Pierre Garcon’s (WR) fantasy production in Week 4?
  • Running Back, Todd Gurley, continues to leave defenses in his wake as he is the league’s second highest fantasy RB point getter.
  • Newly acquired Chargers wide receiver, Mike Williams, looks to build upon his massive Week 3 stat line.
  • Rhett Ellison (TE) comes in to replace an injured Evan Engram (TE) as the Giants starting TE for Week 4.
  • Jordan Howard (RB) has a favorable Week 4 matchup against the Buccaneers defense, which has given up the 7th most points to fantasy RBs so far this year.
