Austin vs. Orlando, 9.25.18
Austin Atmosphere held out strong during their game against the Orlando Sharks over the weekend, winning with 134.78 points compared to the Bees’ 112.18.

Austin QB Kirk Cousins surpassed expectations again this week, completing 40 out of 55 pass attempts, totaling 296 yards. Austin’s second-strong QB, Jimmy Garoppolo, also impressed Austin fans, scoring 24 rushing yard and 251 passing yards. Unfortunately, the weekend did not end well for Garoppolo, as he ended up with an injured knee during Wednesday’s game. Garoppolo is expected to undergo surgery once the swelling around his knee subsides. The Orlando Sharks had an impressive line-up, but were unfortunately unable to keep up with the Austin Atmosphere. The Orlando Sharks’ QB, Tom Brady, had over 640 passing yards and completed 6 passing touchdowns. Orlando’s RB, Lamar Miller, also put up impressive performance on the field, with over 175 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. This marks the second win of the season for Austin Atmosphere, placing them in sixth with a 2-1 record. The Orlando Sharks were unable to grab hold of the lead during the entire game and this loss places them in last place in the division.

Match-up Preview vs. Harrisonburg Valley Bees

  • The Austin Atmosphere are projected to win against opponent Harrisonburg Valley Bees during their game Thursday, scoring 115.48 vs. 96.40.
  • Jimmy Garoppolo, Austin Atmosphere’s QB, injured his knee during Wednesday’s game. He has been benched while he recovers and awaits knee surgery. This will end Garoppolo’s season.
