Game Recap
The Louisville Lions had their third straight win this week against the Austin Rockets Monday night, moving them to ninth place while the Louisville Lions remain at fourth. Ben Roethlisberger, the number six ranked quarterback from Louisville, had a total of 49.02 points compared to Matt Ryan, the fourth ranked quarterback in the league. The leading scorer for the Louisville Lions, Alvin Kamara, ranked the number two running back in the league picked up 36.60 points against the Austin Rockets picking up 66 rushing yards and 124 receiving yards to defeat the Austin Rockets 146.22 to 144.94. Larry Fitzgerald, wide receiver for the Louisville Lions, had a tough matchup against the number one ranked wide receiver in the league, Michael Thomas who put up 23.90 points compared to Fitzgerald who only put up 2.90 points. The Louisville Lions remain undefeated and will go up against the Orlando Sharks next week.
Matchup Preview
● Next week, the Louisville Lions, currently ranked No. 4 in the league, will play the Orlando Sharks who are currently ranked No. 16. The Louisville Lions are projected to beat the Orlando Sharks 122.70-87.76.
● The Orlando Sharks running back, Devonta Freeman, was out for Monday’s game due to a knee injury, it is questionable if he will be back for week 4 against the Sharks.
● Orlando Sharks running back, T.J. Yeldon, is also questionable to suit up for next week’s game due to an ankle injury that has been a problem for Yeldon for a couple weeks now.
● Louisville Lions quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger is projected to have 20.07 points, just beating the Orlando Sharks quarterback, Tom Brady who is projected to have 19.50 points in week four.
● Orlando Sharks wide receiver, Julio Jones is projected to have 19.76 points compared to the Louisville Lions wide receiver, Golden Tate with 15.40 points.
● Orlando Sharks running back, Lamar Miller who is ranked No. 28 in the league is projected to pick up 2.90 more points than the Lions running back, Isaiah Crowell who is currently ranked No. 8 in the league. It will be interesting to see who performs best in week four.
Louisville Lions Season Notes
● Kicker, Greg Zuerlein was added to the injury report list with a groin injury, causing him to sit out until his groin is fully healed. Randy Bullock was recently added to the Louisville Lions to replace Zuerlein.
● Running back, Frank Gore was dropped by the Lions.
● Wide receiver, Larry Fitzgerald was limited at practice this week due to a hamstring injury last week, but was able to gut it out this week picking up 2.90 points.
