The Chattanooga Chickadee’s came out on top once again this week continuing their winning streak against the Honolulu Rocks. Earlier this season, the Chicks fell short 9 points and were defeated by the Rocks, but they have gotten their revenge in week 9 with a strong comeback dominating the team with a 16-point win. The Chickadee’s saw leading performances from players Carson Wentz with 27.76 points and Tyrod Taylor with an incredible 42.90 points. Together, Wentz and Taylor ran an outstanding total of 484 yards and completed an average of 63% of passes. The Rocks’ offense couldn’t make up for these two Chattanooga player’s elite performances. The Rocks’ defense also did not help them score a closer game with a surprising 0-point gain while the Chick’s defense dominated, scoring 12 points. Amari Cooper, Rocks wide receiver, missed 5 of 9 passes causing another setback for Honolulu. The Rocks’ Michael Thomas, however, did make up a 12-point difference over the Chicks with 8 catches leading his team in receptions. A personal success from the Rocks Carlos Hyde’s now four consecutive game increase in targets helped the Rocks see a softer landing. Overall, the Chickadee’s played a highly competitive rewarding them a 5th win this season.
