Game Recap

The Honolulu Honeybadgers broke Chattanooga’s winning streak Sunday night, with a 22.28 victory over the Chickadees. The Chattanooga offensive performance in game 6 was no match to Honolulu’s dynamic duo, QB Phillip Rivers and RB Mevlin Gordon. Although the Chickadees put up a fight throughout the game, Rivers’ 268 passing yards and Gordon’s stellar performance brought home the win for Honolulu. Scoring two touchdowns and racking in the third-highest point total in the league this week, Gordon’s showing led the Honeybadger victory. The game started to slip away from Chattanooga when starting QB Jameis Winston was sidelined with in injury at the end of the third quarter. WR Mike Evans kept the Chickadees in the game until the end, with a tough 41-yard catch in the third quarter, and a spectacular 37-yard touchdown catch at full sprint in the fourth. Honolulu’s game 6 win brought them up to sixth place (2-4, 784.98 points), while the Chickadees (2-4, 823.56 points) stay in fifth place.
