Game Recap October 8th (Honolulu Rocks-186.76 Las Vegas Spades- 161.48
The rocks faced by far their biggest test of the season this week against the Las Vegas Spades. The spades came into the contest at 4-0 and was the only team that remained undefeated in the league. Both teams were able to put up huge numbers but the Rocks dual quarterbacks lead the way for a thrilling victory. Alex Smith continued to inspire throwing for 324 yards and 3 touchdowns while also rushing for an additional 20 yards. Right behind him Cam Newton came off a controversial week and performed very well. His 355 yards and 3 Touchdowns made the Rocks hard to crack. Also getting in on the action was a pair of receivers with big games. TY Hilton racked up 177 rec yards and Hogan added another 74 yards and a touchdown. The running backs also got in on the action with La’Veon Bell splitting his 93 yards evenly through catches and runs. With a well-rounded attack from the Rocks like this, they will be a handful for whoever is comes their way; next week it’ the Moose.
