Madison Moose vs Virginia Beach Neptunes Game 5

Game Recap

The Madison Moose lost to the Virginia Beach Neptunes this week 84 to 133. The Moose’s quarterback Russell Wilson had 23 points and Neptunes’ quarterback had 33 points. Rodgers beat out Wilson with 221 yards on the field, and three total pass touchdowns. Unfortunately, Wilson only had one pass touch down in this week’s game. The Neptunes scored moving into the second quarter, and there was no stopping them from there. Neptune Lechler was the first to score. Rodgers could not be stopped throwing two more touchdowns in the second quarter, one to Nelson and one to Adams. Seeming impossible for the Moose to come back. Luckily, Russell Wilson had a short pass to J. Graham and finally scored the first touchdown for the Moose. Still Neptunes Rodgers kept up his amazing precision and Adams scored the fourth touchdown for the Neptunes. The Moose came back after a quick fumble by Onwuasor and Smith made a touchdown after a forty-seven yard sprint. The Neptunes switch in Manning in the third quarter. Manning passes to Beckham for forty-eight yards to score a touchdown. Lewis for the Neptunes followed with another touchdown. The Moose B. Roethlisberger passes intended for Brown. Who catches and scores the touchdown after fifty-one yards. The extra point by Succop is good, proving the Moose can finally show the Neptunes some competition. Roethlisberger again tries to pass to Brown, Smith makes the touchdown for the Moose; the Succop fifty-four-yard field goal is good. Virginia Beach Neptunes own the last quarter of the game with a forty-eight-yard field goal by Gostkowski, who completes that almost-exact field goal three more times to end the game.

Matchup Preview

  • Next week, the Madison Moose play the Honolulu Rocks. The Rocks are projected to beat the Moose by 24 points. The projected score is: Moose 93 points and the Rocks 117 points. The Moose are going to have to work on gaining more yards overall to keep up with the Rocks next week.
  • Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Madison Moose will have a bye week so the Moose will have Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in for the entire game next week. Ben will hopefully end his three-year rut with only two touchdowns. With any luck, this next game we will see his third and forth.
  • Devante Adams, the Moose wide receiver might out shine the Rocks’ Chris Hogan with two points. The Moose hope that Adams will be cleared again for concussion protocol since he seems to be leading against his opponent. Brandon Cooks does not look to be leading against T.Y. Hilton is next week’s game. Cooks will expectantly keep his momentum going in this up coming game his matchup. Hilton is coming off from a huge game with a 63-yard touchdown.
  • Madison Moose Jordan Howard is looking well with a three-point lead ahead of Rocks Carlos Hyde. Howard is coming off of his second highest total of 76 yards for last week’s game; Hyde had approximately 18 yards last week.
  • Rocks and Moose defense are at a close projection. However, the Moose are projected to have have a half point lead.
  • Moose’s Kicker and the Rocks’ kicker are at an almost tied projected score, so it will be interesting to see who will dominate that position of the game.

Madison Moose Season Notes

  • Both Doug Baldwin and Russell Wilson have a bye week this week. The Moose will be putting in other players in place of them.
  • There have been no changes on the roster for the Moose since last week’s game.
  • Injuries:
    • Devante Adams was cleared to play in this Sunday’s game after being checked for a concussion.
    • Running back David Johnson will be injured for longer than the previous projected 8-12 weeks.

 

  • On October 10th, a man in Madison, Wisconsin, was found deceased; police are still looking into the cause of death. The man was reported “missing” in Middletown on October 6th.
  • A Pedestrian was killed in car cash on October 10th. The 69-year-old man was crossing a cross walk. A witness, Arnold, stayed with him, and the investigation on who hit the elderly gentleman is still being investigated.
  • Michigan is also seeing gas prices start to fall since the hurricanes hit. The average drop this week was down about 7 cents. However, the prices are overall still very high for the city as a whole. Stay tuned to see other issues arising from this environmental disaster.
