Week 4 Game Note #2: Honey Badgers vs. Fuegos

The Honolulu Honey Badgers had their fourth straight loss this season against the number two seed, the Fresno Fuegos. Tom Brady, the number one ranked quarterback in the league from Fresno had a total of 40.48 points compared to the 13th quarterback in the league, Mathew Stafford’s 16.06. Brady completed 307 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and two rushing yards compared to Stafford’s 209 passing yards and one two-point conversion. The leading scorer for the Honey Badgers was running back, Ezekiel Elliott, receiving 29.90 points in the game for his touchdown and 21 carries for 85 yards. Jason Witten, the 5th ranked tight end had a tough matchup with Honolulu’s top seed TE, Rob Gronkowski. Witten caught one of two passes for nine yards, only adding up to 1.90 points while Gronkowski caught four of five passes, which added up to 80 receiving yards for 12 points. Running back, Melvin Gordon is averaging 3.3 yards each carry, which makes him the sixth worst mark in the league receiving 3.90 points this past week. Both running backs for the Fuegos each had over 15 points making them top ranks for their position. Kareem Hunt, the first ranked running back, had a solid game four rushing 21 times for 101 yards regardless. The Honey Badgers need to start competing with their opponents if they want to have a chance to move up in the bracket.

 

Matchup Preview vs. Harrisonburg Valley Bees

  • The Honolulu Honey Badgers are projected to beat the Harrisonburg Valley Bees 106.14 – 103.28 on Sunday in Honolulu, Hawaii.
  • Ameer Abdullah, running back for the Harrisonburg Valley Bees rolled his ankle in the fourth quarter on Sunday. He is currently limited during week five practices and his return for Sunday’s game is questionable. Abdullah’s projected points are only 11.85, less than both RBs for the Honolulu Honey Badgers.
  • The Honolulu Honey Badgers have dropped to last place after their previous game against the Fuegos. The team is going to have to pick up its intensity to even have a chance to come close to the projection of defeating the Valley Bees.
  • Quarterback, Mathew Stafford is projected to have 19.11 points compared to the Valley Bees quarterback, Tyrod Taylor with 15.99 points in week five.
  • Bilal Powell, Harrisonburg running back had a season personal best of 33.00 points in week 4 and is ranked 16th just beating Ezekiel Elliott who is 7th with 29.90 points this past week.
  • Wide receivers, Jarvis Landry and DeAndre Hopkins will be a good matchup with both having roughly 14 projected points for week five.
