Game Recap
After winning two of the first three games by two points or less, the Virginia Beach Neptunes lost Monday night on a season-best game from the Spades’ Travis Kelce. Kelce lead his team in receiving will 111 yards and a touchdown. Ty Montgomery got injured on the first play of the game on Sunday; he tried to play through it but only had five carries before he was removed from the game for good. Stefon Diggs got his first start for the Neptunes after being the number 1 wide receiver in the league through three weeks. Diggs was averaging just over a touchdown a game coming into the Sunday matchup, and he was held to 98 receiving yards and no touchdown.
The Neptunes were lead by quarterbacks Kirk Cousins who threw for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns and Aaron Rodgers with179 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Neptunes Tight End Charles Clay a new addition to the team had 112 receiving yards, totaling 15 more points more than any other tight end for the Neptunes this season.
Matchup Preview
- With bye weeks starting this week the Neptunes will be without quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide receiver Terrelle Pryor. Cousins is the Neptunes second highest scoring player
