The Chattanooga Chickadees continued their losing streak with a 167.02 to 116.76 point loss against the Las Vegas Spades. The Chick’s quarterback, Jameis Winston had a strong game racking up 30.52 points. Completing 28 of 40 passes with 328 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, he was the highest scoring player of the week. The team’s running back, Leonard Fournette had 59 rushing yards and one touchdown, contributing 17 points for the week. However, even paired with RB Lamar Miller, the Chick’s fell short compared to the Spade’s Todd Gurley, who had 113 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. The team’s tight end, Zach Ertz caught eight of his 10 targets for 55 yards and a touchdown, contributing 16.50 points. The Chick’s defense also fell short, losing four points for the team while the Spade’s defense added four points. The Chick’s put forth a strong effort but the Los Vegas Spades came out victorious.
Matchup Preview
- The Chattanooga Chickadees will face the Madison Moose in Week 4
- The Madison Moose are currently 1-2 while the Chickadees are 0-3
- The Chickadees are projected to lose by at least 10 points (121.32 – 109.31), losing in most major position matchups including QB, RB and WR points
- QB Jameis Winston is projected to score only 15.14 points compared to Madison’s QB Russell Wilson who is projected to score 19.61
- The Chick’s tight end Zach Ertz will have to have a strong game as he is set to beat Madison’s Jared Cook by a very tight margin (13.49 – 12.68)
- Madison’s Jordan Howard will be coming off a game high from Week 3, where he scored 31.40 points. Against Leonard Fournette he is only projected to contribute 15.32 points
- The Chick’s defensive end Brent Urban has been ruled out for the upcoming matchup due to a foot injury
