Game Recap
The Madison Moose lost their second straight game, falling 177.48 to 97.64 to the Fresno Fuegos. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a strong showing, totaling 243 passing yards. However, the Moose did not match opposing quarterback Tom Brady, who racked up 447 passing yards for the Fuegos. Brady had a strong first quarter, in which he threw all three of his touchdown passes. Russell Wilson (QB) put up his first touchdown pass of the season, while Roethlisberger threw 2 touchdown passes for the Moose. However, their efforts were not enough; Fresno’s running backs obliterated Moose defense, as C.J. Anderson racked up 118 rushing yards, and Kareem Hunt chalked up 81 yards. Moose defense only managed two sacks, while the Fuegos matched those sacks and made two interceptions. The Moose fell behind in both defense and offense against the Fuegos, widening the scoring gap of 33 points from last week’s loss to 80 points.
