Game Recaps

This past week, the Madison Moose fell to the Fresno Fuegos 177 – 97. While the Viking’s defense, and Madison wide receiver’s Brandin Cooks and Jared Cook all had a subpar game, quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Ben Roethlisberger carried the Moose on their back with a combined 50 points. Madison’s running back Mike Gillislee and wide receiver Doug Baldwin also had strong performances. Gillislee scored 12 points with 69 rush yards, creating a lot of plays for the team. Baldwin contributed 10 points to the contest with the Fuegos. Madison running back Jordan Howard had a career worst week, unable to bring in any points for the team. The Fuegos had some electric performances from quarterback Tom Brady, C.J. Anderson, and Kareem Hunt. Brady scored an impressive 56 points and the two running backs scored a combined 60 points.  While wide receiver Jordan Nelson was injured and couldn’t contribute to the team, the combined over 100+ points from the Fuegos trio solidified the victory over Madison.

Matchup Preview

– The projected score for Madison in their upcoming game against the Honolulu Honey Badgers is a 125-113 loss. Despite this projection, the team is hoping for a big week and to come out on top.

– Madison’s wide receiver Mike Crabtree, who was benched in the game against the Fuegos where he could have scored 32 points, will start next weeks’ game against the Honolulu Honey Badgers.

– After sitting out with a shoulder injury, Madison’s tight end Jared Cook will see the field again this coming week, starting in next weeks’ game against the Honey Badgers.

– Madison’s newly added running back, Chris Thomson will ride the bench for this upcoming game.

– Wide receiver Michael Crabtree holds the highest points for Madison with 46 points

The Honey Badgers have a strong running back core with Melvin Gordon and Ezekiel Eliiot and will put up a good match for Madison.

Madison quarterback Russell Wilson is projected to score more points than Honey Badgers Quarterback Philip Rivers this coming week.

– The Badgers lost a very close 2-point game last week and will be just as eager as Madison to get back on the field so it should be a good game.
