Hear the Rocks Rumbling Week 2 Game Notes

Game Recaps September 17th, 2017 (Honolulu Rocks 142.46- Chattanooga Chickadees 133.76)

You may have heard the mighty rumble of the Honolulu Rocks this week. With a final score of 142.56- 133.76 against the Chattanooga Chickadees, the fans had something to cheer about. It was a close game that kept fans of both teams on the edge of their seat. Devonte Freeman came in strong this week with 2 touchdowns during the game, contributing to the Rock’s close win. Alex Smith, however, was the team’s high scorer. He rocked the field with 251 passing yards in addition to a touchdown. Delaine Walker had a strong game as well, continuously proving to be an asset to the team. He was able to rush a touchdown and catch 4 passes, totaling 61 yards. Cam Newton proved himself this week too. Newton totaled 250 yards distributed between the air and the ground, still contributing greatly to the team win. The Rocks are still rumbling from their win and are ready for next week’s game against the Virginia Beach Neptunes.

 

Matchup Preview vs. Virginia Beach Neptunes

  • Neptunes are going into next week from a drastic 20 point loss to the Harrisonburg Valleybees
  • Freeman is the RB needed to compete against Bell
  • Bell and McCoy are ranked as 2nd and 3rd best RBs in the league so it looks like it will be a good match up
