Chattanooga Chickadees Come up Short in Week 2 – Again – Game Note 1

Game Recap

The Chattanooga Chickadees battled the Honolulu Rocks in week 2 falling short by only 8.8 points. The game started strong for the Chickadees when RB Miller gained 19 yards earning 11.70 points. Mike Evans earned the most points for the Chickadees with a total of 22.30 points. The Chickadees had a few great touchdowns during this close game. RB Fournette made a 1-yard touchdown gaining 14.10 points. Dez Bryant caught his first touchdown of the season earning 18.90 points. Ultimately the Chicks fell short to the Honolulu Rocks. Chattanooga’s QB Jameis Winston helped the team with 204 passing yards compared to the Rock’s QB Cam Newton with 228 yards. The Chickadees’ defense dominated the field scoring 6 points more than the Rock’s. With great efforts made, the Chickadees earned 133.76 points against the Honolulu Rocks who were victorious with 142.56 points.

Matchup Preview

  • The Chattanooga Chickadees will be taking on the Las Vegas Spades in week 3
  • Las Vegas is currently 2-0 while the Chickadees are 0-2
  • The Chickadees may have a slight advantage over the Spades when it comes to defense. The Chicks’ defense have earned 42 points so far while the Spades’ defense have only earned 30 points
  • RB Fournette is projected to score 17.88 points, surpassing the Spades’ Jay Ajayi who is projected to score 14.89
  • QB Carson Wentz will have to be on is A-game for the Chicks in week 3 since he is projected to score 13.73 points which is less than the Spades’ Drew Brees who is projected to score 17.36 points

Chattanooga Chickadees’ Season Notes

  • Due to a knee injury, the Chickadees picked up QB Carson Wentz to replace Sam Bradford
  • The Chickadees picked up RB Javorius Allen to replace Isaiah Crowell after he only scored 3.71 points in week 2

  • Chattanooga native Demetrius Delaney Buchanan is wanted for murder and has been placed on the state’s Top 10 Most Wanted List. He is seen to currently be armed and dangerous.
