Game Recaps

The Las Vegas Spades squeaked by with a victory over the Honolulu Honey Badgers in a 154.16 – 152.82 win. The players were pretty evenly matched, besides the fact that the Honey Badgers did not have a defense in their lineup.  In the end, the Spades won by less than 2 points.  Drew Brees led the Spades to their win with his 31.24 points with 356 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Dak Prescott, Travis Kelce and Todd Gurley also made significant plays, which helped the Spades win the game. Prescott scored 25.92 points from 238 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and 24 rushing yards. Kelce brought home 25.30 points with 103 receiving yards, 8 receptions and 1 receiving touchdown. Gurley secured 24.60 points from 88 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 3 receptions for 48 yards and 1 receiving touchdown. Jay Ajayi scored 15.60 points with 122 rushing yards. Antonio Brown got 11.20 points 62 receiving yards and Cooper Kupp score 6.30 points with 33 receiving yards. It was only a 23 point game heading into Monday night and all of my team’s players were already done.  However, the opposing team still had Matthew Stafford.  If he would had an above average game, the other team would have won despite not even having a defense/special teams in their lineup.

Matchup Preview

  • This week the Las Vegas Spades are projected to beat the Chattanooga Chickadees by a score of 125.12 to 114.78.
  • The Spades have Drew Brees who is a part of a very pass first offense right now going against Chicadees’ Carson Wentz who will be passing against a strong Giants’ secondary this week.
  • The Spades have Jay Ajayi who had two 200 yard rushing games last season going against the Jets who already gave up a 100 yard rushing game to Lesean McCoy earlier this season.
  • The Chickadees have Lamar Miller who has been under-performing due to high expectations, so advantage goes to the Spades and Ajayi.
  • Last week the Spades started the Raiders defense against a weak Jets offense. This week they are sticking with starting a defense against a weak offense by playing the Rams defense against the 49ers.
  • The Chickadees have not made any roster moves and seem to play the same lineup they played last week. They also have yet to add/drop any players off waivers so far this week.
