Game Recap September 17, 2017 (Honolulu Rocks 142.56 – Chattanooga Chickadees- 133.76)
The Rocks kept rolling this week to the tune of a 142.56-133.76 win over the Chattanooga Chickadees. Honolulu kept a slight lead for the duration of the game, but the Chickadees were never far away. Quarterback Alex Smith was the team’s high-scorer this week with his 251 passing yards and a touchdown. Devonte Freeman also proved he can be a threat for the team with a two touchdown performance for the Rocks. Cam Newton and Delaine Walker continued their strong starts to the season with standout performances in week two. Newton was able to combine for 250 yards on the ground and in the air while Walker was able to rush for a touchdown as well as catch 4 passes for a total of 61 yards. Adding another win to the books, the Rocks now look forward to next weeks matchup with the Virginia Beach Neptunes.
