Game Recaps
The Chattanooga Chickadee’s continue to make a slow start in the season suffering a close loss of 9 points in Sunday’s week two game. The Chick’s wide receivers Dez Bryant and Mike Evans played a strong game and held the team for a long period time running a total of 152 receiving yards. Mike Evans, with a particularly stellar performance, proves to be the Chickadee’s MVP. Jamie Winston, Chattanooga’s quarterback, completed 60% of passes and rushed a total of 204 yards standing up very close to Honolulu’s Cam Newton. A final outstanding performance was played by the Chick’s defensive players scoring a total of 17 points and putting them 6 points ahead of the Rocks. A large deficit increase in points, however, was seen in the Chick’s running back players Lamar Miller and Leonard Fournette who came out 11 points short of the Rocks and ultimately lost the game for Chattanooga. The Chick’s played a competitive game but not strong enough to bring home a win.
Matchup Preview
- The Chick’s performance across the board held stronger than week one earning 14 more points in week two’s game.
- Next week’s games predicts the Chick’s defense coming out on top once again over their competitor.
- The Chick’s new starting quarterback, Carson Wentz, is ranked 3rd in the league playing an incredible game last week and should play a strong game against the Spade’s Drew Brees in week three.
- The Chick’s Zach Ertz made a remarkable catch in last week’s game nailing him as strong competition against the Spade’s dependable Travis Kelce.
- The offensive sides of next weeks game is a close matchup, but the Chickadees hold a slight advantage because of the dominance of their defense against the very weak Spade’s defense.
- The Spade’s win last week was heavily accredited to quarterback Drew Brees’ performance who is predicted to play a much less impressive game against the Chicks.
