The Week 2 matchup against the Harrisonburg Valley Bees will be the first time this season that the Virginia Beach Neptunes face off against the defending champs.

Rodgers Brings Neptunes to Nail Biting Win Against Chickadees

With most of the players for the Neptunes playing in the early 1 o’clock games on Sunday, we jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Although Aaron Rodgers started off a little slow, throwing no touchdowns and an interception in the first half, he rallied the Neptunes to lead all scorers. LeSean McCoy was our second highest scorer, rushing for over 100 yards and receiving for 50 yards. Demarco Murray our second round pick in the draft had a very disappointing week 1 for the Neptunes. He was held to only 40 rushing yards and 8 points.

The Virginia Beach Neptunes held a 40-point lead going into the Monday night games, with Hunter Henry left to play for the Neptunes and Sam Bradford left to play for the Chickadees. The comeback effort from the Chickadees quarterback Sam Bradford came close to taking the lead but the Neptunes held off with a 1 point win.

Our team was lead by quarterback Aaron Rodgers with 31 points. The Neptunes Tight End Hunter Henry was held to 0 points playing against one of the best defenses, the Denver Broncos of the Fresno Fuegos. The Neptunes also received The Week 1 Highest Scoring Bench Trophy.
