Game Recap
The week for the Fresno Fuegos did not end as well as it started for them. Their matchup began on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Spades. The Fuegos had Kareem Hunt put up an incredible 48.60 points as he rushed for 148 yards with a touchdown and caught 5 passes totaling for 98 yards with 2 more receiving touchdowns. The week was appearing to be a cake walk from there as by the time the week ended, Kareem Hunt was the highest scoring player in the league. Despite Hunt’s performance, they’re starting Quarterback, Tom Brady, struggled as he only put up 6.68 points, an extremely underwhelming performance from a player of his caliber. The team got help from Marcus Mariota and Jordy Nelson who both put up over 20 points, but the Fuegos were hurt badly when their top receiver, Odell Beckham Jr., was sidelined from a high ankle sprain. With Beckham out and putting up zero points, the Fuegos were no match for the fire power from the Spades that included top performers like Drew Brees, Antonio Brown and Todd Gurley. After the week was over, the Fuegos took a loss by a final score of 147.4-136.42.
