This Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Orioles will be the Breast Cancer Awareness game at Whole Foods Stadium. Every fan that attends the game will be given a pink rally towel when they enter the stadium. The players will be wearing pink accessories with their uniforms during the game as well. Additionally, at halftime the Armadillos will be recognizing a group of twenty breast cancer survivors who will also be given sideline passes for the game. The Armadillos are very supportive of anyone that is fighting cancer and seek to show support in any way possible whenever the opportunity arises.

Week 6 Game Recap

The Austin Armadillos put on a dominating performance this week against the Honolulu Megalodons, defeating them 156.98-76.08 to climb into third place in the league. The 80.90 margin of victory was one for the record books, as it was the largest in the league this season. David Johnson once again led the way for the Armadillos, as he contributed 38.8 points with three touchdowns on 111 rushing yards and 27 receiving yards. Johnson has reached 100+ yards from scrimmage in every single game this season, and has scored more than one touchdown in three of the six games that have been played this year. Other big performers for the Armadillos were Christine Michael (22.3 points, from two touchdowns on 64 yards rushing and 19 yards receiving) and Tyrod Taylor (179 yards passing with two passing touchdowns and 68 rushing yards). Brian Hoyer led the way for the Megalodons with 23.08 points on 302 passing yards.
