Game Recaps (Orlando Blooms vs. Columbia Salamanders, 131.32 – 200.90)
After winning consecutive games in weeks 3 and 4, the Blooms (2-4) have since dropped their last two contests, the latest at the hands of the Columbia Salamanders (4-2) by a score of 131.32 – 200.90. Despite strong performances from quarterbacks Blake Bortles and Dak Prescott, the Blooms defense was simply no match for better performances from quarterback Matt Stafford and wide receiver Brandin Cooks. The Blooms also had big outings from running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Lamar Miller, but poor showings from the rest of the roster proved detrimental for Orlando. The Blooms will have to make some personnel changes in the coming week in preparation for their matchup with Las Vegas (5-1).
Matchup Preview
- The Blooms are set to take on the Las Vegas Rockets in Week 7. The Rockets sit atop the league leaderboard with a record of 5-1.
- The Rockets are second in the league in points for with 851.40. The Blooms are fourth with 830.42.
- The Rockets’ defense is second best in the league, having only allowed 695.06 points, compared to the Blooms who have given up a league-high 961.34 points.
- With Prescott and Elliott on their bye-week this week, the Blooms look to bench players and possibly the waiver wire to fill the void.
- The Rockets could be in trouble with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger out this week due to injury, and Carson Wentz not being on his A-game as of late and also playing a strong Vikings defense.
