Game Recap

The Richmond Renegades battled hard on Sunday but ultimately lost to the Oklahoma City Orioles 138.32 to 120.66. Andrew Luck led the Gades with 39.18 points but his efforts were not enough. Despite a strong outing from Blaine Gabbert’s first appearance the Gades couldn’t out score Marcus Mariota and the rest of the Orioles line-up. In previous weeks WR Stefon Diggs helped carry the Gades with a lot of points but due to groin injury Diggs was listed as inactive on Sunday. Unfortunately the Gades did not replace Diggs in the line-up so he earned a goose egg for the team bumping them to 9th place in the league. The Gades will look to bounce back next week vs. the 3rd place Harrisonburg Valley Bees (3-2) in Richmond, VA.

Matchup Preview

  • The Valley Bees are on a three game win streak, while the Renegades are on a two game losing streak
  • Drew Brees is coming off a bye week and expected to have a strong performance
  • Stefon Diggs has a bye week that will hopefully give him time to fully heal before a big game against the Sharks
  • Kicker Matt Bryant and Atlanta Falcons defense will make their first appearance for the Renegades this Sunday
  • RB Jordan Howard is projected to get the most points for the Valley Bees on Sunday
