Game Recaps (Previous week’s game)

Once again, it was a tough week for the Memphis Monsters with their 4th consecutive loss. The Memphis Monsters however seem to have still made a good move with last week’s trade for quarterback Philip Rivers and did what they could to keep the score close to the Blooms. Between Kirk Cousins making some great connections for touchdowns, Rivers throwing 300 plus yards for the Monsters since joining the team, and Kyle Rudolph’s 7-yard touchdown, the Monsters tried their best. However this didn’t seem to be nearly enough to beat the Blooms who consistently led in points. Blooms beat the Monsters by 26.52.

Matchup Preview (Upcoming match up)

  • While Memphis hopes to break their losing streak, it seems to be a 50/50 chance for the 2-2-0 Columbia Salamanders team
  • Shockingly, Memphis Monsters are predicted to win with a projection of 109.44-76.64, however Salamanders have yet to fully set their starting roster as a few players are out due to bye week.
  • Monster’s Melvin Gordon has the highest point projections with 24.30
  • Despite Monster’s Kyle Rudolph absence from Wednesday practice due to rumored injuries, he’s expected to play as the absence may really be related to Tuesday’s birth of his new twins
  • Although Salamander’s tight end Rob Gronkowski is back for his second game, he is still nursing his hamstring injury and may not be up to full speed
