Game Recaps (vs. Oklahoma City Orioles and vs. Richmond Renegades)
Week 1 vs. Oklahoma City Orioles
The Las Vegas Rockets beat the Oklahoma City Orioles by a sizable 30 points in week one. Led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the Las Vegas Rockets picked up five passing touchdowns between Roethlisberger and Carson Wentz. Running back Doug Martin led in rushing yards with 62. In close second was running back LaSean McCoy with 58 yards including one touchdown. Roethlisberger only had one interception, while Wentz had zero. Wide receiver Antonio Brown led the pack in receiving yards with 126 yards on 8 catches and two touchdowns. Overall, it was a successful opening game for the Las Vegas Rockets who improved to 1-0.
Week 2 vs. Richmond Renegades
The Las Vegas Rockets lost from a late rally by the Richmond Renegades on Sunday night. The Richmond Renegades were down 9.96 and came back to defeat the home team with a narrow victory of 116.20 to 100.76. The matchup saw four lead changes in a close contest. Both teams have notable quarterbacks in Ben Roethlisberger (Las Vegas Rockets) and Drew Brees (Richmond Renegades). The Las Vegas Rockets fell short of their projected 113.34 points. This loss dipped the Las Vegas Rockets into seventh place with 264.28 points and boosted the Richmond Renegades into fifth place with 272.82 points. Both teams have 1-1 records.
