Louisville Lizards Season Notes

  • Big Ben’s Return:  Quarterback Ben Roesthlisberger returned to the starting lineup after missing several games due to a knee injury.  Big Ben threw for 262 yards and a touchdown, however he threw three interceptions.  He finished the game with 19.48 points.
  • Louisville Basketball Scandal: School officials at the University of Louisville are still investigating allegations that assistant basketball coach Andre McGee hired strippers to have sex with players and recruits at parties.
  • Bryant Returns:  Lizards receiver Dez Bryant played in his first game since Week one when he suffered a broken foot.  Dez was relatively quiet in his return, only recording 12 receiving yards.  The Lizards hope for him to return to Pro-Bowl form this week against Honolulu.
  • Lizards Will Have Fundraiser at YMCA: Players of the Louisville Lizards will be holding a fundraiser at the local YMCA to raise money for the YMCA.  People can come to the YMCA to meet the players, get autographs, and donate to the YMCA.
