Week 7 Game Notes
The Losing Streak Ends – The Las Vegas Luck finally got their luck back against the Memphis Blues in this week’s game beating them by a mere 8.84 points. This win allowed the team to move up two spots to a number four ranking. The team put up 184.00 points on the road, marking the most points they’ve scored in a single game this season. The Luck plan to continue winning next week against their rival.
Climbing the TanneHILL – Starting Quarterback Ryan Tannehill had an excellent game this week leading the team in the win over the Memphis Blues. Tannehill completed 18-of-19 passes thrown for 282 yards and had four touchdowns throughout the game. Over the past two weeks, Tannehill has thrown for an impressive 548 yards and made six touchdowns.
Going 2-for-2 – The team hopes to keep up their luck next week when they play their rival, the Los Angeles Legends, for the second time this season. The Luck plan to hold extra practices this week in order to keep their playing game up so that they can beat the Legends once again.
The Replacements – The entire Luck defense will be on a bye week this week, which will cause the front office to find a new defense. The Denver Broncos, the New York Giants, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are ranked highest in the available defenses. Each defense seems to be a good pick but the Luck are considering all of their options. Also, on bye weeks this week are QB Blake Bortles, RB LeSean McCoy and TE Julius Thomas.
Lockett In – Rookie Wide Receiver Tyler Lockett had a breakout game in his first start of the season for the Luck, catching 5 passes for 70 yards and a TD. Normally a return specialist, Lockett got a chance to start at WR and took advantage of it. Let’s hope that Lockett can keep it up the good work, as the rookie is an intricate part of the franchise’s future.
