Los Angeles Legends Quarterback Tyrod Taylor is expected to return in week 9 following a bye, allowing more time to recover from a sprained MCL he received in a week 6 victory against the Titans.
Taylor has been a solid starter for the Legends, and suffered a sprained MCL on a horse-collar tackle, causing him to be ruled out of the team’s Week 7 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Head Coach Rex Ryan expects the Legends quarterback to return in week 9. “I’m confident he’ll be back,” said Ryan. “We’ll see where he’s at after we come back from the bye.” Although Taylor has been splitting reps in practice with EJ Manuel, Taylor “still has some soreness” in his knee at this stage.
Taylor has been effective under center this year, completing 70 percent of his passes this season while throwing nine touchdowns compared to just four interceptions. He’s also run the ball into the end zone while making his QBR of 62.6, which is 10th best in the NFL.
